What's this all about?

The title of this space is meant to inform you of two things. First, I am a member of Generation Y, the Millennials. I  guess I am an elder statesman when compared with many of my fellow Millennials who range in age from 30 (I'm 27) down to just 10 years old. While it is hard to believe that some members of my generation have not yet even entered middle school and have quite a ways to go to adulthood, on the whole I am confident that, despite the criticisms which abound from older generations about today's youths, the youngest Millennials have what it takes to be both effective and productive citizens in this world so long as they actively engage in their education and find subjects of study about which they are passionate. That brings me to the second piece of information in this blog's title, the word Concerned. I find myself concerned about many things these days including news, culture, politics, sports, and television among other things. My level of concern, or interest, varies from topic to topic and day-by-day. Some things stay on the front burner continually, while others are left to slowly simmer and are only occasionally considered. The goal for this space is to air those concerns through periodic postings in order to more fully lay out my own viewpoints and opinions, while at the same time attempting to foster conversation or debate with others about the particular topic of the day. I hope whoever visits this space will find the topics interesting enough to add their personal perspective with a comment.
